* Departure from Roghudi: 8:00 The day begins with a comfortable transfer from Roghudi to the village of Gerace, one of Calabria’s most picturesque destinations. During the journey, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of hills and sea.
Visit to the Medieval Village of Gerace Upon arrival, you'll explore the medieval village of Gerace, known for its ancient charm and stone-paved streets. The first stop will be the majestic Gerace Cathedral, the largest in Calabria, with its Romanesque architecture dominating the landscape. After visiting the cathedral, the tour continues with a walk among the ancient walls and churches, immersing yourself in the beauty and history of the place.
Free Time in Gerace You will have free time to stroll through the village alleys, visit local artisan shops, or simply enjoy a coffee in one of the panoramic squares overlooking the coast and surrounding hills.
Free Lunch During your free time in Gerace, you can enjoy lunch at one of the traditional local restaurants, tasting typical Calabrian dishes such as handmade pasta, cured meats, and cheeses.
Visit to Locri Epizefiri In the afternoon, the tour continues with a visit to the archaeological site of Locri Epizefiri, an ancient Magna Graecia city founded in the 7th century BC. You’ll explore the remains of temples, theaters, and fortifications, discovering the history of this powerful city-state. A visit to the Archaeological Museum of Locri will deepen your knowledge of ancient Greek culture through unique artifacts found on site.
