Historically, the territory was under the domain of Bova and later became a hamlet of Amendolea. Cultural and Natural Heritage
Located in the Aspromonte National Park, the territory of Roccaforte del Greco offers evocative mountain landscapes. The village is known for its cultural heritage linked to the Greek-speaking minority. Among the local traditions is the “cippitinnàu” ritual, an ancient engagement custom. Nearby, Monte Scafi, the Amendolea waterfalls, and the Zumbello picnic area are worth a visit.
